A worrying story caught my eye, over the weekend.
National Police Commissioner General Bheki Cele on Saturday said the number of cops killed in the line of duty has significantly increased, compared to 2010 figures.
Cele said around seven officers were being killed every month. Since the start of 2011, some 36 police officials have been killed. [EWN]
One must wonder whether or not Bheki Cele’s “tough guy” attitude is working. In short, was Martin Luther King correct?
Does “shooting to kill” beget shooting to kill?

Cele keeps on threatening to catch these criminals? Does he ever catch them?…
They never get caught because they are paying huge sums of money to the police.cid/law enforcement companies all over !
If caught, they get released because all the evidence dissapeared.
Another problem our police have is they are too fat and slow, that’s why they get shot.
By the time they find their guns under the fat piles, they’ve already been shot a couple of times.
Slick, they eat too many doughnuts?
