Stormers lose to the Crusaders, SA hopes gone

To quote what I said on Twitter, about ten minutes before the end of the game, on Saturday,

All the Stormers fans are leaving. They’re in a blue Golf. There’s a huge Stormers flag on it. You can’t miss it.

So, when does the Stormers game, against the Crusaders, begin?

The Stormers were completely outplayed by the Crusaders.

And the ref.

I’m glad you made that last point but yes, they were. Like all South Africans, I still hold high hopes for the World Cup; it’s not as if we were in killer form the last time but we won. By the skin of our teeth but it was still a win.

Well, the ref had clearly been drinking before the game…

    Nice pic…spot on.
I think this is a good lesson for us – South African teams are falling behind in terms of game play. Once we stop being defensive about how good we are in theory and rather start to learn from the sides that are doing well in practice then we will be back to our winning ways. Our talented player cup runneth over but our brains trust runs dry.

BTW, I agree that Joubert had a shocking game day – apparently his NZ emigration papers were finalised this morning though. The picture contained in this article accurately describes which side he was on :) http://www.superxv.c.....p?id=31025
Seriously though, I don’t think the result would have been much different even if he was on form.

i do believe that the stormers are a good team and could have beaten them but seriously ,they really played kak, and, i must admit that the crusaders were on top form.
On top of all that the crusaders had one more player on their team than us.
