Grey sent the following photo to me. He was at Saturday’s Tri Nations game between the All Blacks and Springboks.

In short, it’s a middle finger – from blacks – to blacks who love All Blacks.
I love it.
And it relates to my cartoon on the same subject.

Amazingly, the Springboks beat the All Blacks, on Saturday. But, what is interesting, is the large number of South Africans (mostly black and coloured) – countrywide – who support the All Blacks instead of the Springboks.
Historically, everyone knows why.
But, today, cultural relations in South African rugby are much improved and, comparatively speaking, better than in New Zealand rugby. Which is why it’s interesting.

What was Desmond Tutu thinking?
Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu has called for a “wealth tax” to be imposed on all white South Africans.
He made the calls on Thursday night during a book launch at Stellenbosch University’s Institute for Advanced Study. [IOL]
Disappointingly, South Africa’s moral voice is wrong about taxing whites. Such reckless statements will damage his credibility, I’m afraid. South Africa already has a sliding (wealth) tax scale (on all citizens); singling out whites will only fuel further hatred and stifle national growth.
Nothing positive can result from playing the race card.
